Local Flower Farmers are featured in Bend Magazine’s May/June 2026 issue and I am so honored to have been included in the story! Locally grown flowers are so important - not only for the local economy but it supports the environment and pollinators. Even more importantly, the majority of cut flowers in the U.S. are imported from South America and before they enter the country they are sprayed with loads of pesticides and herbicides to ensure that no harmful plant diseases or pests are being spread into the US. This is the absolute last thing that we want our florists exposed to on a daily basis or anyone who purchases them to bring into their home or put their nose in to smell the flowers fragrance.
